Word’s Find can’t find all Unicode symbols and emoji Windows Insert | Symbols | Symbol should work but doesn’t because, at present, Office for Windows doesn’t support the high-numbered Unicode symbols like emoji. Once in a document you can copy it to AutoCorrect and make your own shortcut. Use the standard Word Alt + X symbol shortcut 1f62dthen Alt + X The Loudly Crying Face □ sign does NOT have an inbuilt shortcut in Word. I have outlook set for HTML and not text. I can get :) to convert in word but not outlook. I am running mac os 10.6.8 and office for mac 2011. (web codes aren’t used in Microsoft Office, we’ve included them for the sake of completeness.) Word and Outlook I found a yellow smiley face and downloaded it and it had a long name that ended in ',wmf' I cannot figure out or find any information on how to use the file with word or outlook.
